The Académie's archives preserve documents divided into different series: records of its academic sessions since 1667, records of prizes it has awarded since the 18th century, a collection of over 18,000 "sealed envelopes" deposited since 1735, as well as scientists' fonds which have been deposited there in order to be preserved and accessible to researchers.
