The ceremony, opened by Antoine Triller, Perpetual Secretary of the Académie des Sciences, honored first and final year students engaged in eight disciplines: astrophysics, biology, chemistry, geosciences, mathematics, physics, digital and computer sciences, and technological sciences.
The diplomas were presented by members of the Académie des sciences and the Académie des technologies:
Guy Perrin - Astrophysics
Alain Chédotal - Biology
Odile Eisenstein - Chemistry
Eric Calais - Geosciences
Etienne Ghys - Mathematics
Claire Mathieu - Digital and Computer Sciences
Jacqueline Bloch - Physics
Catherine LANGLAIS (Académie des technologies) - Engineering Sciences
These competitions, designed to develop a scientific culture and a taste for research, mobilize thousands of high school students every year under the guidance of their teachers. They also foster links between national education, research and the economic world.
By bringing together all disciplines, this ceremony enables the distinguished students to discover the diversity of scientific approaches and the wealth of projects carried out by their peers.
A fine celebration of the commitment, curiosity and talent of tomorrow's young scientists. 🌟
