The French Academy of Sciences is delighted with the publication of the decrees of December 31, 2025 promoting to the National Order of the Legion of Honor.

🔹 Promoted to the rank of Chevalier
Mrs Pascale Senellart-Mardon, research director at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique, lecturer in quantum physics.
M. Pierre Auger, biologist, biomathematician, ecologist, director of research emeritus at IRD in the Unité Mixte Internationale UMMISCO and Sorbonne University, member of the Académie des sciences.
Mr. Thierry Giamarchi, physicist, research director at CNRS and professor at the University of Geneva, member of the Académie des sciences.
🔹 Promoted to the rank of Officer
Mr. Michel Talagrand, mathematician, director of research at the CNRS, member of the Académie des sciences. Chevalier of January 31, 2011.
🔹 Promoted to the rank of Commandeur
Mr. Jules Hoffmann, biologist, professor at the University of Strasbourg, director of research emeritus at the CNRS, member of the Académie des Sciences, Nobel Prize in Physiology. Officer of February 11, 2013.
These awards recognize major scientific contributions and exemplary commitment to research and society.
