Anne Canteaut is a research director at Inria, in the COSMIQ project-team, at the Inria center in Paris. A specialist in cryptography, she is interested both in the design of new cryptographic algorithms, particularly to protect data confidentiality, and in analyzing the security of existing systems. Her work lies at the interface between cryptography, algorithmics and discrete mathematics.

President of Inria's Evaluation Commission from 2019 to 2023, she received the Irène Joliot-Curie "Woman Scientist of the Year" award in 2023 and was distinguished as a "Fellow" of the International Association for Cryptologic Research in 2024. Anne Canteaut is also involved in numerous actions to promote diversity of profiles, genders, training and subjects in research.

Anne Canteaut was elected Academician in 2024 in the Mechanical and Computer Sciences section.
