Standing Committee for the Defence of Scientists’ Rights (Codhos): Protecting Scientists throughout the World

The Standing Committee for the Defence of Scientists’ Rights (Codhos) of the Académie des Sciences, chaired since 2013 by Édouard Brézin and Jean Illiopoulos, was created in 1978. According to the statutes of the Académie des Sciences, it looks into the violations of rights that experience across the world scientists, physicians, researchers in human and social sciences, engineers or students.
