Vietnam-France meeting on Mathematics for Development, from 21 to 23 September 2023 in Hanoi.

The Académie des sciences, the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), the Hanoi University of Science and the Vietnam National University (VNU-HUS) will organize from 21 to 23 September the first joint Vietnam-France scientific meeting on the theme of application of mathematics for sustainable development.

This 3 day meeting has been labelled “50^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France” and “International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development 2022-2023”.

The CNRS International Research Laboratory France-Vietnam in Mathematics and its Applications (IRL FVMA), the French Embassy and the International Research Network on Mathematical and Computer Modeling of Complex Systems , the National French Institute for Sustainable Development (UMMISCO, IRD), are partners of this event.

Science Summit, 27-29 June 2023 in Paris

HFSP is organizing the Science Summit and the International Science Symposium in partnership with the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the French Academy of Science, the Pasteur Institut and the French Agence National de la Recherche, the International Science Council, and the U.N. International conference on Clean Energy for Carbon Neutrality, 7-10 March, Hong Kong

The Académie des sciences is co-organising with the University of Hong Kong (City-U) the ICCECN-2023 International Conference on Clean Energy for Carbon Neutrality, which will take place in Hong Kong from 7 to 10 March 2023.
This event will bring together leading experts on these topics and will generate an interdisciplinary dialogue on the challenges and future prospects of next-generation energy development and applications. A broad range of topics related to scalable photovoltaics, stable and reliable battery technologies, and energy-saving and smart grid technologies for various applications will be covered.

This symposium brings together scientists, philanthropists and EU stakeholders to better understand the prerequisites for a rapid “science-based” response to an environmental or health crisis. We will attempt to identify the conditions under which private initiatives aimed at the public good can effectively complement institutional responses.
